Inspired by and Acknowledging the Take A Knee Movement inspired by Colin Kaepernick
His shoulders and head held up high
One knee touching the ground below
Those massive hands aimed at the sky
The barrel releases the dead blow
As we feel the tears swell our eyes
While Brothers and Sisters go Home
No smoking or selling Loose Squares
Loud voices that No One could hear
Onlookers lifeless with their stares
For protection Go Live in fear
Is it that No One even cares?
Who knew that Death would be so near?
And They will stop you in your tracks
No matter how little or big
Bullets don’t belong in the back
This could easily be Your kid
Was it because his skin was Black?
Or the hoodie where Skittles hid?
